Abstract
The issue of handling bulk materials occurs in a variety of industries. In engineering practice it often leads to disorders of the smooth flow of transported material. The topic of the thesis is to design equipment that will minimize these adverse effects. It deals with passive and active forms of new extensions that combine passive and active element. The introductory part of the paper summarizes basic information on mechanical and physical properties of bulk materials, describes the stress states and explains the basic mechanisms of flow in bins and silos. It describes and analyzes of failures in flow tanks. The following is a description of the newly designed internals to improve the flow of bulk materials in the silo.
The experimental part is supported by the measurements on new dwellings. Measurements were carried out in laboratory conditions and the necessary adjustments to the equipment were tested and measured in operating conditions.
The new device designed on the basis of experimental results will be proposed to the patent-law protection.
