Abstract

This master thesis deals with the design of an underframe for a spring-loaded washing machine. At the beginning, I have conducted a research of various underframes from various manufacturers accessible at the market. The thesis contains of a underframe load‘s design which is elaborated both theoretically and according to the measurement on the experimentally designed underframe. Then, I have executed an analysis of the construction and the underframe design itself. It is elaborated exactly in compliance with the requests from the company Primus. The underframe design is tested according to the measured data using the Finite Element Method – FEM in the ANSYS Workbench software. On the basis of static structural analysis, I determined the underframe load and the load cycle in the spot of maximal reduced strain by the HMH method. From the Wöhler Curve and the Smith Diagram I determined the safety of the designed underframe and I calculated its working life.
