Abstract

The topic of my Diploma thesis was „Valuation of forest stands“. In the thesis are described basic entities, which figures in forestry in Czech republic, next the subsidy policy of the state, subscribe administrative and market metods of valuation forest assets. Then we calculated an administrative price and market value of the forest (comparative and yield metod) with subsequent comparisons. To achieve the objective of my work served two working hypotheses. First working hypothesis: "The market value will vary from administrative price by more than 30% due to dynamic developments on the market with wood." We refute this hypothesis. The market value was higher by only 5%. Second working hypothesis: "The subsides are not reflected in market value of forest." This hypothesis was also refuted. The difference of values was 17% in favor of the value with subsidies. The work also contains results and specific recommendations.
