Abstract
This project focus on designing a well developed laboratory model which is used for measuring the rotation speed of a computer fan. The existing laboratory model which use expensive data acquisition harware is analyzed for its limitaion in cost, size and reliability. A newly designed laboratory model consists of Arduino uno and fan A9x25 PWM. Arduino uno which use to generate PWM signal to control and read the tachometer signal for real time RPM calculation. Newly designed laboratory model is compact, cost effective and more reliable. Fan model is tested with different laboratory setup and final implemantation of laboratory model is controlled by Arduino and LabVIEW PC based program. Designed 3D printed box is used to housing the Arduino and Fan.
