Abstract

This diploma thesis describes the design of a tilt-bed trailer for small tractors, which will also include the handling arm for loading heavy objects or bulk materials. The introduction provides a brief overview of comparable trucks and trailers available on the market, which can be connected to a small tractor. Based on the technical parameters of the tractor, the optimal size of the trailer was selected including the capacity and parameters of the handling arm. After designing these parameters, the preliminary draft of possible chassis solutions follows, including overview, advantages and disadvantages. This is followed by selection of the appropriate option, and further proposals for individual trailer units, load bearing calculations and suggestions based on my personal experience. The work is accompanied by the plan and a manufacturing drawing of the trailer’s frame.
