Abstract
The diploma thesis focuses on assessing the level of work-life balance (WLB) among employees of an international holding company based in Přerov and proposing measures for its improvement. In modern human resource management, the concept of work-life balance represents a crucial tool for maintaining the mental health, satisfaction, and loyalty of employees, which directly impacts the stability and performance of the entire organization. The objective of the thesis is to evaluate the current state of balance within the selected company, identify primary stressors, and, based on these findings, propose specific steps to support the effective regeneration of the workforce. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the foundations of WLB, the historical development of this phenomenon, and modern tools for supporting wellbeing within the corporate culture. The practical part is based on methodological triangulation, including the analysis of internal documents, quantitative questionnaire surveys, and qualitative semi-structured interviews with both management and frontline employees. The research revealed a high level of perceived stress and specific employee needs in the areas of time flexibility and health prevention. In the conclusion of the thesis, specific recommendations are formulated, including the implementation of a shortened 37.5-hour workweek, the introduction of paid health days (Sick days), and the implementation of the MultiSport card benefit. These measures are accompanied by a framework economic evaluation and aim to strengthen loyalty and reduce the risks of employee turnover within the organization.
