Abstract

Master thesis deals with the allocation of an aircraft stand on apron for a flight at an international regional airport and creates a tool to support the decision-making process of allocating an aircraft stand on apron for a chosen day according to the valid flight schedule. The reason for creating this tool is to facilitate decision-making. At an international regional airport, the allocation of an aircraft stand on apron is determined mainly on the basis of the empirical experience of the responsible manager. Master thesis contains a general description of the process of handling aircraft, passengers, aprons and a mathematical model for the allocation of an aircraft stand on the apron of Ostrava Airport, which is then applied to selected days of the summer season with a valid flight schedule.
