Abstract

The employee appraisal is one of the most important HR activities in the organization. Its scope of influence is quite broad, from employee efficiency to employee behavior. It also influences competitiveness of the company and is linked with incentive and reward system. The thesis deals with the analysis of the employee appraisal system in Austin Detonator s.r.o. firm. This company practices appraisals via appraisal interviews. The aim of the these was to find out if the interviews run at the beginning of 2012 as a pilot of new set system, were led according to appraisal interview methodology, if they were done correctly. Another aim of the thesis was to find out, if setting new appraisal interviews system and running the first round was sufficient, both for the company and for individual employee. Data needed for the analysis were collected in two-phased research via two questionnaires. Based on the evaluated and analyzed data the recommendation were created in order to improve the new system of appraisal interviews in the company, and also to eliminate certain inaccuracies that were found.
