Thesis Head: Ing. Hapla, T. In the introduction of this bachelor thesis is described principle of soil separation, basic division of soil separators and market research. After that I made four construction concepts of separator drum, described their pros and cons, and then picked the most suitable type. The selected type was processed in detail, which includes construction of drum separator and it´s bushing, selection of proper sized sieve fraction, choosing optimal rotation speed and with that related design of screw conveyor, which will ensure motion of soil in axial direction. Next chapter is focused on drive mechanism, such as electric motor, belt drive and gearbox. In the last chapter was used FEM to check critical parts of construction and summing up results of bachelor thesis.
