Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the structural design of a handling device composed of two telescopic forks with a load capacity of 1,000 kg. The thesis starts with a research on the topic, introducing a schematic design with a detailed description of the work principle and the force distribution. The length of the fork handling range is from 1,400 mm in the retracted state to 2,800 mm in the maximum extension when individual arms roll on the guide rollers during extension. The extension speed of 0.2 m/s is divided between two extension levels, each level having a speed of 0.1 m/s. An electric motor with a bevel gearbox for torque distribution is used to extend the two telescopic forks with a spacing of 370 mm. To transmit the torque, the roller chains are selected according to the magnitude of the force required to extend against the resistance of the travel rollers. The diploma thesis includes design calculations of individual structural elements which are then checked. The final step is to strength check of the telescopic fork by FEM method.
