Abstract
The dissertation deals with the issue of weld joint defects and reducing their occurrence. The work was carried out in cooperation with Shape Steel a.s., where research and analysis of the possibility of defects during the welding process for selected types of products welded using the MAG 135 method was conducted. To identify defects and their consequences, the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) method was applied, which evaluates all aspects affecting the quality of welded joints in production.
The work is divided into a theoretical and an experimental part. The theoretical framework of the work represents the welding process with a focus on the necessary steps leading to the achievement of maximum safety at the workplace. The basis for assessing the production process was the occupational health and safety (BOZP) and fire protection (PO) legislation, including protective equipment and individual standards.
The experimental part is focused on the use of the process FMEA method, suitable for monitoring a large amount of information, from own production, safety features, procedures for welding parts, inter-operational checks, destructive and non-destructive checks, solutions for defect repairs, to the processing of product documentation. The FMEA method is applied to the entire production process of parts, in which legislation from this area and areas related to production processes are also included in seven steps.
The main objective of the work is the assessment of welded joints depending on the welding conditions with the possibility of defects, their frequency and severity. An important conclusion of the work is the monitoring and optimization of the production process using the FMEA method with the aim of increasing production quality.
