Abstract
This thesis deals with the design of a maintenance-free filtration unit for industrial applications with the requirement for continuous filtration of liquids without the need for manual intervention. In the introductory part, a research focused on industrial filtration and principles of operation of self-cleaning systems is presented. Subsequently, experimental verification of the selected filter type is carried out in order to assess its efficiency in capturing impurities and regeneration capability. A suitable filter type is then selected around which the overall circuit diagram of the filtration unit is subsequently designed. This is followed by a detailed selection of the individual components. The final part of the thesis deals with the design of the control logic for the PLC, which ensures correct operation and automatic switching between filtration and regeneration modes. The result is the design of a complex technical solution capable of long-term unattended operation.
