Zpracování a vyhodnocení a bio-parametrů skupin nezralých novorozenců s plicním onemocněním

Abstract

The present thesis focuses on designing and developing a software tool for visualising and analysing SpO2 trend curves, perfusion index and heart rate in immature newborns belonging to a control group and a group of infants suffering from BPD (bronchopulmonary dysplasia). Furthermore, the thesis processes other information obtained from the measured recordings (drop-outs of different types of signals) using 24-hour recordings measured by Masimo products. The outputs from the proposed software application address research questions regarding optimal SpO2 levels in immature neonates, allowing their evaluation using histograms and box plots. The application facilitates data processing on a broader scale, providing the possibility to monitor drop-outs of different types of signals according to the user's choice (e.g., Low Sig). It also allows time windows to be selected, the occurrence and maximum duration of a selected unique event to be calculated, histograms of trend curve levels and their inter-correlation to be displayed, and the prevailing level/interval for SpO2, heart rate, and perfusion index trend curves to be visually displayed to the user. Analyses of the recordings mentioned above provide valuable data that may result in better optimisation or modification of treatment recommendations for highly immature or immature newborns.
