Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of the strength and stiffness of the chassis points of the frame of the Formula Student Vector 07 car. The thesis starts with a description of the Formula Student competition, disciplines, history, and frame rules. In the next section, the load forces during the different driving conditions are presented. In the practical part of the thesis, the creation and setup of the computational model is described, then the finite element method calculations are performed. Furthermore, an experiment is proposed to validate the stiffness. In the last part, the experiment itself is thoroughly described and the measurement results are later compared with the simulation results.
