Abstract
The master thesis focuses on numerical simulation of water and required mixtures cavitation. It has been created in co-operation with the firm Hutní PROJEKT, a. s. The introduction lists basic knowledge of the cavitation phenomenon. The first chapter presents the theories of the cavitation nuclei, the dynamics of cavitation and the basic physical properties of fluids which have impacts on cavitation. In the next chapter the cavitation effects on fluid elements are described. The third chapter discusses splitting the numerical simulation of cavitation treats into two areas. The first area of cavitation phenomenon is performed by finite volume method using the computer program Ansys Fluent. The occurrence of cavitation of required materials in set geometry is modelled here. The second area of modelling concerns the occurence of cavitation phenomenon in a real circuit. For this part of the simulation the computer programme Matlab SimHydraulics is used. In this section the individual elements are defined, then used for the circuit design, and the simulation procedure is described. In the final chapter the results of the numerical modelling are summarized.
