Abstract
The present thesis evaluates the effectiveness of investments comprised the acquisition of technological lines VÍTKOVICE HAMMERING, a.s. in order to meet the growing demand for forgings and forged blanks. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the characteristics of the society and the general theory of investment activity. The practical part focuses on the description and analysis of the investment itself, thus its evaluation by selected assesment methods of investment. In conclusion the work contains summarizing of found results.
