Abstract

OBORNÁ, Alena. Safety study of the threat to the Český Těšín train station imposed by the NVS. Thesis. VSB – TU Ostrava, Faculty of safety Engieneering, Department of Security Services. Supervisor of the Thesis Ing. Stanislav Lichorobiec, Ph.D. The purpose of the thesis is to perform safety study of the threat to the Český Těšín train station imposed by the IED. The teoretical part of the thesis deals with the issue of terrorism, IED and pyrotechnic inspections. The next part describes the effects of the explosion on buiding structures together with patterns for calculation. An important part of the work was to perform a risk analysis which led to the identification of the most risky places to imposition of IED in the external and internal areas of the train station. Calculations of the effect of the explosion on building structures were subsequently undertaken for these places. The last part of the work is a proposal for effective measures to reduce the risk of IED imposition and its initiation.
