Abstract
This diploma work deals with rails splitting in a production process. A theory of splitting with sawing and with abrasive cutting as well as rails production done in company Třinecké železárny, a. s. is contained in the introduction.
Next, an analysis of currently existing state brings requirements for a higher quality of sawing with a lower noise of a process of heated rails splitting. Qualitative requirements result from two main aspects. A big burr produces rail callosity during its straightening while a poor slicing purity restricts length measure with laser technology.
Then, the solution part presents a design of simple equipment for burr removal. Solution for functional laser length measure leads to proposed recommendations for a suitable placement of laser measurement unit.
Both sawing quality and the process noise are solved in a proposal for rails splitting with grinding wheel containing steel core, with included suggestions for rails clamping. A process of grinding tool production for this splitting method is presented as well. A practical verification of the proposed method is described in the thesis conclusion.
