Abstract

This thesis deals with heat storage materials, specifically sodium acetate trihydrate. The introduction outlines the problems of our world, such as climate change, and ways to cope with this phenomenon. One way is energy storage through phase change materials. The properties of the chosen substance are determined, which then give rise to new storage mixtures. An apparatus (module) has been constructed to verify the properties. The module is connected to temperature and water flow measurements. From these values, the heat output is determined and compared.
