Abstract
The goal of this thesis is to describe and thoroughly analyze the current system of education and development in the OKD, a.s. mining company and, based on this analysis, present recommendations that would lead to the improvement of the system. The analysis itself consists of two parts. In the first part, the content analysis of internal documents and oral questioning methods were used. Questionnaire survey was used in the second part. Using these methods, system deficiencies were identified. These findings served to define specific recommendations for elimination of the deficiencies. The results of this thesis allow the management to improve the effectiveness of the system of education and development of the employees.
