Abstract
This master thesis deals with management of commercial aircraft maintenance process. Specifically, by determination of the optimal staff quantity necessary for aircraft maintenance. Solution of this issue is based on critical path method and calculation of necessary staff quantity for commercial aircraft maintenance process by mathematical model. Reasons for solving this issue are staff savings, effective heavy maintenance process and creation of a supporting decision tool for maintenance planning. The thesis consists of a description of an aircraft maintenance process and its staff requirements, creation of a flow chart of aircraft maintenance process and a mathematical model for planning of staff requirements of an aircraft maintenance process. The mathematical model is then applied on different model situations and results are discussed.
