Abstract

The dissertation deals with the problem of gasification of the fuel from waste in the autothermal generator. In the introduction the dissertation describes possible ways of energy use of municipal waste, gasification technologies for thermochemical conversion of solid waste as well as an overview of current research in the field of gasification of fuel derived from waste in the world. In the main part the thesis deals with putting experimental plant into operation and performing experiments in order to achieve the highest efficiency of refuse derived fuel (RDF) gasification in a patented experimental gasifier in which only biomass has been gasified. The last part presents the results and findings of the research on refuse derived fuel gasification that were obtained during the experiments. The main aspects are the properties, quality and quantity of the gas produced at different gasification temperatures.
