Abstract

The bachelor thesis is focused on application of technical diagnostics to fans and deals with the question of whether the application of vibration diagnostics is beneficial in terms of preventive fan maintenance. In many cases, where fans are critical to the smooth running of the manufacturing plant, its application is almost necessary to maintain uptime and eliminate unplanned downtime. The bachelor thesis provides not only a description of the application of vibration diagnostics on fans in the company ROCKWOOL, a.s., but also highlights frequently detected defects, which can be captured by vibration measurement. The result is a summary of suggestions and recommendations to eliminate the causes of damage that at the end lead to proaction.
