Abstract

Běhal, J. Flight planning within the European airspace : master thesis. VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Transport, Department of Air Transport, 2019, 66 p. Thesis head: Kontriková, L. The thesis deals with the analysis of flight planning, the implementation of flight planning in the lower and upper European airspace. The first part of the thesis analyzes the development of flight planning, basic legislative regulations for airworthiness and aircraft operations. Furthermore, the meaning and purpose of flight planning in Europe is described. This chapter is followed by the practical part of the thesis, where the planning of two flights to the chosen destination is done through the FliteStar computer software. One flight in lower airspace, with no pressurized aircraft and second flight in upper airspace, with pressurized aircraft. In the last part of the thesis, flights are evaluated and compared in terms of feasibility, safety and economic demands using multi-criteria decision making and costing methods.
