Ochrana spotřebitele v České republice a Evropské unii v oblasti energetiky

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the current state of consumer protection in the energy sector in the Czech Republic based on the analysis of the legal environment of consumer protection, identify the main problems and propose recommendations for improving the consumer environment in this sector. The thesis is structured into three main chapters. The first chapter describes the theoretical basis of the consumer protection system, the legislation of the main regulations in the Czech Republic and the European Union in the field of consumer protection and consumer policy of the European Union. The next chapter deals with the liberalized energy market. Within this chapter, an analysis of the energy consumer policy programme and strategy at the level of the European Union is performed. This chapter describes the activities of the main institutions and consumer organizations in the Czech Republic and the European Union in the field of consumer protection and analyzes the overall level of the consumer protection system. The third chapter analyzes the main problems that consumers most often face in the energy sector. The last part of this chapter evaluates the current state of consumer protection in the energy market of the Czech Republic and proposes recommendations for improving the consumer environment.
