Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with the conceptual design of a gate for a family house and all related components. Furthermore, it focuses on optimizing the gate with respect to the desired width of the driveway and maneuvering possibilities, easy production and assembly, as well as maximum maintenance-free operation and overall stiffness. The introduction thoroughly analyzes various types and designs of gates and drives. The second part is the structural part, which includes the actual conceptual design of the gate and its components. The third part deals with the calculation of the most stressed elements of the gate with additional loading at the free end of the gate, including the deflection of the gate at the free end using the finite element method (FEM). Finally, the drawing documentation is created, which is included in the attachments of the bachelor's thesis.
