The presented diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of processing selected waste materials from school canteens and their subsequent use for energy purposes. The introduction of this work describes the legislative norms and decrees on which this issue is based. Subsequently, the possibilities of using and processing waste are described whether in the form of dry or wet processes. Considerable attention is paid to the mechanical processing of materials, as it is one of the parts on which
the practical part of this DP is based.
The practical part describes the collection of samples and their selection for subsequent processing, experimental tests and analyses, on the basis of which a calculation was made
of the possibility and replacement of the existing fuel with an alternative fuel in the form of pellets prepared in this way for heating the gymnasium, which is part of the school building or the sports hall, which was built on the school grounds. At the same time, a system for the use of biochar after thermal processing of the input raw material for hydroponic purposes was proposed. This technology was designed for the needs of this master thesis.
