Abstract
The thesis deals with optimization of public transportation system in region of Rýmařov. The first few chapters describe the problematic transport situation in the region and mathematical programming methods. The core of the thesis lies in chapter five - mathematical model design that serves to optimize number of vehicles operating the lines, total passenger waiting time and ineffective distance driven. The function of the mathematical model is examined by experiments. The last chapter evaluates the results of these experiments.
