Abstract

This thesis is focused on the possibility of energy accumulation, its storage and subsequent use. The main subject of the thesis is to develop a project of air preheater in the hot water boiler at the power station with electricity storage. The first part describes possible energy storage technologies. The second part is devoted to the Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES), which has been developed by VŠB–TUO and ORGREZ, a.s. The practical part explains the thermal calculations of air preheating, the design of the combustion chamber of the hot water boiler and the design of the air heater concept. Basic regulation circuit, which is drawn in the P/I diagram, is designed at the end of the thesis. The construction of the air preheater itself is illustrated in the attached drawing.
