Abstract

The diploma thesis presents a proposal for optimising a packaging and inspection work-site of ceramic moulds in the factory of Vesuvius Solar Crucible s.r.o. The introductory section describes the current condition of the finished product packaging, inspection technology, visual inspection and dimension measurement, production flow, and work-site layout. Another section of the diploma thesis focuses on the ultrasound marking of products, proposes a new technology for dimension measurement, and outlines the impact of such proposed modifications on the packaging of finished products. The following section presents a proposal for an inspection work-site with a manual or robotic control design. The final chapters assess the economic aspects of the proposals including a general assessment of the proposals for the inspection work-site and packaging.
