Abstract
The thesis focuses on a literary review and practical use of the 141-TIG welding method in welding copper electrical conductors. The theoretical part of this work is devoted to the study of the 141-TIG technology and the characteristics of copper and its alloys. The following section deals with possible defects occurring in copper welds and methods of verifying the quality of the welds. In the practical part, a technological procedure for welding copper conductors and the fabrication of test welds were designed. The verification of selected properties of these welds was then carried out using destructive tests, such as bending tests, Vickers hardness tests, and macro and microstructure tests. The obtained results confirmed the correctness of the technological procedure for welding copper conductors.
