This thesis deals with the design of an automatic independent parking system. This parking system works on the principle of storing cars on pallets which are placed one above the other on the five floors. There are two parking places on one floor. The parking system can store ten cars all together. The car is parked on the pallet. The pallet is placed in the lifting mechanism. Vertical transportation between the floors is made possible by the hoisting facility. This facility is located on the last floor of the parking system. The lift mechanism is equipped with a telescope that is used for the horizontal transport of the pallet with the car between the parking box and the lift.
