Abstract

The diploma thesis focuses on improving the efficiency of the storage facilities of HELP, silnice – železnice s.r.o. The storage space is utilized by a tenant, company X, which rents storage capacity together with logistics services. The aim of the thesis is to design and implement suitable pallet racking systems in order to increase storage capacity, optimize pallet placement, systematize warehouse operations, and evaluate the economic efficiency of the proposed measures, including the return on investment. The main contribution of the thesis is the modernization of the storage hall, leading to an increase in its storage capacity with the objective of retaining the existing tenant. The result of the work is a comprehensive improvement in warehouse operations, including optimized of space utilization, systematization of stored materials, and more efficient arrangement of handling equipment. The thesis is primarily focused on the practical application of the proposed solutions, where the implementation of the project can enable the company to reach the level of modern warehousing standards.
