Abstract
The master thesis deals the cutting structural steel by the oxy-fuel method, concrete the quality of the cutting edge. In theoretical part is explaining the basic concepts of thermal cutting: are cleared and compared individual methods of cutting, interpreted their principles, limited's and preferences. Next is explaining the properties, use and distribution of construction steels. In practical part is performed an experiment examining the influence of the oxy-fuel cutting method on the quality of the cutting surface. Five samples are cutting with different parameters of the oxy-fuel torch setting, the quality of the cutting edge is monitored and compared of each of them - is measured roughness on cutting surface, drag lines, angular deviation of the profile and roughness. The individual test results are compared and are evaluated, how influence has the setting of torch to cutting surface.
