Abstract
The master thesis deals with the innovation of wiper insert for face milling tools SSD13F series. The introductory part of the thesis describes the integrity of the machined surface, the roughness of the machined surface, methods of measuring surface roughness and cutting forces during machining. Subsequently, an analysis of the current state of the art in wiper insert is made and possible competing wiper insert machines from Dormer Pramet are identified. The main part of the thesis is devoted to experimental functional test and measurement of cutting forces. These tests are carried out during machining of carbon steel C45 and stainless steel X2CrNiMo17-12-2.The aim is to compare the existing wiper insert XDET 13T3AFER; M8330 and the newly designed wiper insert XDET 13T3AFSR-P01; M8330 in terms of the roughness of the machined surface Ra and Rz after milling, the machine load due to the machining test and the measurement of the cutting forces Fx, Fy and Fz and then calculating the resulting force F from the mean value of the components of the cutting forces Fx, Fy and Fz. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the technical and economic evaluation of the results obtained from the functional tests of machining and cutting force measurements.
