Abstract

My diploma thesis was aimed to perform a research of current situation in human resource (HR) management in Laserové léčebné centrum, s.r.o., and based on results achieved, to suggest changes in staff planning, recruiting, selection and hiring strategies. Diploma thesis consists of the introduction, individual chapters and conclusion.

With the support of professional literature and internet sources, I have prepared and defined theoretic bases which briefly explain basic terms related to HR management, particularly in HR recruitment.

The follow-up practical part provides characteristics of Laserové léčebné centrum, s.r.o., where the research has been performed. With the use of selected methods – questionnaire, interview with MUDr. Igor Janík, Ph.D., Head Physician and Clinic owner, and analysis of internal materials - I reviewed the current status, suggesting the changes in HR recruitment strategy.

Proposals for a new procedure of staff recruitment and selection are included in chapter 4.4 of the diploma thesis. Company management has been informed about the results of my study and about my suggestions and recommendations, so that they can implement measures leading to the future optimal way of staff selection. Staff selection shall be performed in summer months in connection with a new company branch opening.
