Abstract

This thesis deals with solution of water intercoolers of compressed air using mathematical modelling of fluid flow and heat transfer. The heated compressed air flows in the intercooler. Air must be cooled by water separated by partition, which eliminates mixing of air with water. Solution of flow and heat transfer was carried out using the software ANSYS Fluent 14.5 in laminar and turbulent flow regime. For specification and results verification the experimentally measured data were used.
