Abstract

This thesis deals with product design of cable reel mechanism determined to control the service robot. The theoretical part describes the types of service robots according to their areas of operation. The study also described crawler chassis and cable controlled service robots including applications of these robots. In the next section three alternative design solutions to the reeling mechanism are proposed. Subsequently, the optimal option is chosen and this option is described in detail. In computational part the motor power for cable reel mechanism is computed. The work contains tree models and model of the optimal variant. All these models are modeled in Pro / ENGINEER. From optimal design the assembly is created.
