Abstract

This thesis deals with the bloodstream of humans and with model the human vasculature in Matlab. Mathematical model of blood vessels is described by three partial differential equations and other auxiliary relations. The resulting model is transferred through the finite diference method to a set of ordinary differential equations, and these are implemented into a S-function block in Simulink. The model consists of variol vascular segments, where each one is represented by a S-function. This thesis deals with the main artery - the aorta and its branching. The basic data for this thesis was obtained from the University Hospital in Ostrava, the angiography department.
