ANNOTATION OF THESIS LOLEK, K. Assessment of Diesel Engine Injection Systems. Ostrava: Department Institute of traffic, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, 2012, 48 p. Thesis, head: Richtář, M. This thesis deals with the evaluation of injection systems, injection units associated with PD and common-rail diesel engines. The reasons that led to the development of injection systems are described in the first part. The constructions and funstions of injections systems PD and CR are describet after that. Another part deals with the fuel and emissions of diesel engines. In addition, systems are evaluated on the basis of emission results, the occurrence of defects, repairs and demands of their costs. In conclusion, the evaluation of the comparison of both systems and think about the further development of motor drives.
