Rentka T.: Effect of Temperature on the Coating System Properties of the Rail Vehicles. Department of mechanical technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava,2017, Pages 92s. Manager of diploma thesis: Ing. René Siostrzonek, Ph.D. In diploma thesis, I deal with temperature effect on the coating system properties of the rail vehicles. In first chapter I consider of problems surface treatment of the rail vehicles. I describe most often used materials, their selections and material properties. Further I deal with pretreatment, where i describe most often used corundum blasting, steel grid blasting and in the past used steel shot and sand blasting. Steel shot blasting and sand blasting are forbidden. In third chapter i describe organic coating systems, basic ingredients and kind of coatings and some ways of depositions of coating systems. In experimental part is described input material and his splitting from view of pretreatment. Creating of coated systems was different, in one half of sample was used putty and in second half without putty. Aim was find out, how coating system reacts in different temperatures, and his durability in relation on surface pretreatment and compound of coating system. For creating test was defined suitable methodic of experimental work. All results was recorded, compared and evaluated.
