Abstract

The bachelor thesis is devoted to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on selected air carriers and their assessment with the subsequent creation of a plan to reduce these impacts. The first part of the thesis describes the impact of the pandemic on passenger and cargo air transport, aircraft manufacturers and aviation unemployment. Then, the thesis discusses and evaluates the operational and economic results of the classic carriers American Airlines and Air France in 2019 and 2020. At the end of the thesis, a plan to reduce the economic impact of the pandemic for the air carriers is constructed.
