This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the helicopter emergency night flights, which are implemented using of the aviators night vision system. This system consists mostly of the night vision goggles Their technical structure, operating principle and distribution are described in first chapter. Furthermore, it discusses the adaptation of aviation technology for the safe use of night vision systems, requirements for crew and various procedures carried out in the implementation of night flights. The focus is mainly based on the DSA a.s. company, which is one of the civil air ambulance operator in the Czech republic. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the main parts of night vision imagine system and the use of night vision imagine system in operations carried out by air ambulance. Then highlight the importance and benefits of night vision imagine system during operations that are provided during nights.
