Abstract

The master thesis is focused on designing and simulation of car frame. The introduction describes a project within which the thesis was conceived as well as a specification of car itself. The set of directives, regulations and homologation guidelines were prepared, including an overview of necessary tests. Geometrical and finite element model was formed followed by optimization based on strength analysis performed. The aim of this work is to prepare a methodology, for designing frame prototype, according to which a few versions of frame were designed. Critical points of the final version were subjected to strength and fatigue calculations. Based on the evaluation of all results it is possible to consider that the designed frame construction is in compliance with all requirements.
