Abstract

This thesis deals with surface cross-sectional size of removed material layer and its influence on specific cutting force in turning steel 1.1191 and alloy 2.4856. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the machining process and the mechanics of chip formation. Next theoretical part is focused on the determination of dynamic load and measuring the force conditions during machining. In the experimental work were tested two shapes of inserts, from the viewpoint of their influence on the distribution of forces during machining, and the size of their wear. Testing was performed at longitudinal turning CNC lathe NLX2500MC/700 from company DMG MORI. For each material was chosen constant cutting speed and changed the feed rate and depth of cut. In conclusion are presented and evaluated measured results on the basis of an evaluation of the individual components of forces resulting cutting forces and specific cutting resistance.
