Model multilateračního systému pro řízení letového provozu v ČR

Abstract

This dissertation thesis deals with the question of increasing throughput of Czech airspace through utilisation of multilateration systems as a positioning data source for RNAV routes. The important part focuses on a question whether it is possible to achieve greater accuracy of positioning using the multilateration systems compared to other options. As an evaluation tool, the MATLAB simulation program is used. In this simulation program, current station deployment of existing multilateration systems, as well as the deployment extended by additional sites improving the accuracy, is simulated. The other part of the thesis analyses the comparison between the accuracy of multilateration systems and DME (Distance Measuring Equipment). From the obtained results it can be assumed that multilateration systems provide better accuracy than what can be achieved with other systems currently used for surveillance and navigation. Their use for RNAV will still be a matter of time, as it is necessary to address certain weaknesses of multilateration systems from a navigation standpoint.
