Abstract

This thesis deals design and optimization of spring-loaded camming device. Theme was develop in cooperation with Kouba company that is major manufacturer of climbing equipment in Czech republic. Was designed new spring-loaded camming device that is applicable to converging or diverging crack in the rock - his advantage is lever-mechanism and use four joints. This solution enables special contact cams with crack that prevent fall mechanism when loads changes direction. Was created a lever-mechanism prototype that was tested in measuring machine. This mechanism meets ČSN EN 12 276 in terms strength, design and construction.
