Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the concept of horizontal steam generator for nuclear power plant VVER 640. The introductory part is focused to the global energy consumption increase and the benefits of using nuclear energy. In the next part of the thesis is described the history of nuclear energy, since the first attempt to breaking the atom to the description of the primary circuit of nuclear power plants and the current state in the world and in our country. The bachelor thesis also deals with the more detailed analysis of the most advanced generation of nuclear power plants and with description of the steam generator. In the conclusion of the thesis, there is a calculation of heat power from the four circumvolution steam generator based on given energy parameters.
