Věra Holubová, Ph.D. The subject of this diploma thesis is the Protective safety technologies for the safety of cyclists in road transportation. At the beginning briefly described law regulations that deal with such problems, including an explanation of terms such as reduced visibility. It is followed by a theoretical part, where there is briefly described a history of the safety technologies, accident statistics processed survey. I tis followed by evaluation of the current state of safety features on bicycles. The last part contains an analysis that identify and evaluate the safety hazards while riding a bicycle. Then i tis describes new protective safety technologies. In the last chapter are chosen three different variants.
