Abstract

In the submitted thesis, I gathered the data gained from the literary sources concerning possible means of use of the waste in producing animal feed. The subject concerns not only possible nutrient sources but also rational means of their use in the nourishment of animals while minimizing possible risks for the animal health and subsequent safety of animal products. In the first part, the concepts concerning ingestion and following processes are explained. The next part is focused on the requirements and on the testing of the feed. The description of the selected feedable waste that can be directly or after processing used for the production of animal feed follows. In the following part, the proposals and recommendations in the field of using waste as the potential source of feed for livestock are presented. The conclusion summarizes the topic with the focus on the recommendation of the future use of the feedable waste.
